Appfolio General Ledger Report for Track My Rentals

Track My Rentals allows property owners to generate a Schedule E across their rental portfolio, in addition to generating reports that include information such as mortgage, insurance and real estate taxes. In order to generate a Schedule E, owners will need to import Appfolio General Ledger Reports. In addition, this can reduce the number of questions that Property Managers have to receive.

Instructions

1. Select GL Report
In the Reports menu, select General Ledger


Step 2.

After selecting "General Ledger", you will be presented with report configuration options. It's important to note that settings used in the Appfolio Reports generation can change the content of the reports, so please pay special note to the settings below. You should leave the defaults, and select the appropriate Date Range. Owners might request a historical report. Do NOT change "Last Edited" Range. Leave it blank as shown below.

Step 3

After the report is run, download as CSV (the format is important) and send to owner.

Step 4 (Optional)

To save time, we recommend creating a Scheduled Report that will send the report using a Date Range of "Last Month-to-date", and have that sent to the owner, or posted to their Appfolio owner package.
